It works perfectly for this and was about as fast as can be expected when dealing with a 50GB partition. I used WinClone to transfer a Windows Bootcamp partition from my old hard drive to a new one. WINCLONE 5 UPGRADE
Winclone was awesome because I only have an upgrade version of Win7. Just had my hard drive replaced as part of the iMac drive replacement program. If you can send us an email to support twocanoes. Sorry that you had problems with Winclone. I'm happy with the setup I have now, but I wasn't happy that I couldn't go with my original plan and clone the bootcamp partition.
WINCLONE 5 MAC OS
In that original drive, I removed the first Mac OS partition and created a new windows file partition to increase the size of space available for Windows. My solution was to remove the optical drive and place the original drive with the bootcamp partition there in a drive doubler bracket. I would get a cannot boot black screen or a BSOD. Nothing I tried would allow the bootcamp drive to boot. I tried keeping the cache file or deleting it. I tried to go with the generic boot file as suggested and deleting what was there, and I tried keeping the boot file. The Bootcamp side has been nothing but problems. I was wanting to go to a 1TB hybrid drive from a GB drive.

Maybe you could give the user the option of a file-backup instead of an image backup, assuming they have software that will allow MacOS to read the files on the drive. It is on our list to investigate, but for the moment, you have to disable bitlocker. Is it just a bitwise clone of a partition, or does it need to actually need to read the files on the partition? Not currently. Windows 10 Pro is the version of Windows I have installed on my BootCamp partition, in case it matters.
The BootCamp partition on my Mac is encrypted with Bitlocker.
